Hey guys its Sam and today is the first day back at school, monday april 20. This sandwich above indeed looks appetizing. Anyway, today we did not get our tests back, but we were assigned a project in our new geology textbooks to make a scaled 3-d depiction of Earth' s crust, mantle and core. Today, groups of three were told to come up with a materials list, gameplan, and sketch for the project. I obviously did not do any drawing. I checked usgs.gov to look to the latest earthquake news and today there was a magnitude 4.7 off the coast of northern Japan bordering Russia, a magnitude 5.3 off the coast of South Korea and Japan, a magnitude 4.9 in Venezuala, a magnitude 5.5 in the Indonesian region of Banda Sea, and within the last hour there was a magnitude 5.4 earthquake that hit the South Pacific island of Tonga. The weather in Leawood is in the mid-sixties after a cold forty degreee start to the day. Now the sun is shining with scattered clouds as we are looking at no precipitation and 70 plus degree weather throughout the week. Cool beans, see you in two weeks.

Damage done by a recent Japanese earthquake.
